A Benefit for the Montessori School
of the Berkshires

Alison Larkin offers hugely entertaining, marvelously light-footed reflections on how we become the kind of people we think we are . . . nature versus nurture, the eternal search for roots and the ups and downs of the great Anglo American love affair — a lesson in the human condition.” — Clive Davis, The Times

“I loved The English American. I didn’t want it to end.” Alan Chartock, WAMC

"Hysterically funny Anglo-American comedienne" NBC TV

Internationally acclaimed comedienne, award-winning audiobook narrator and bestselling author of The English American Alison Larkin will perform a sneak preview of her brand new show, Alison Larkin LIVE!

Adopted into a proper English family when she found her birth mother in Bald Mountain, Tennessee Alison became a stand-up comic, because what else do you do? Her first one-woman show, from which her novel sprang, played to packed houses and high critical acclaim on both sides of the pond.

In her hilarious new show, Alison will talk about her adoption, England, America and how fellow Berkshire residents can brew the perfect cup of tea.

This special performance will benefit The Montessori School of the Berkshires, with proceeds supporting the Financial Aid Fund. The Montessori School of the Berkshires is an independent, private school located in Lenox Dale and serving children aged 15 months through eighth grade.  The school offers an individualized, child centered educational approach based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s observations of child development, emphasizing self-directed activity and independence on the part of the child, and observation and guidance on the part of the teacher.
