A Re-creation of The Band's Classic Concert Film
$38 preferred seating / $30
Featuring REV TOR BAND & FRIENDS
A benefit for Music in Common
The Rev Tor Band & friends return to the Mahaiwe for a repeat performance of The Band's classic 1978 concert film, "The Last Waltz," as a benefit for Music in Common. The show features renditions of all the hits by The Band featured in the film, such as "The Weight", "Up On Cripple Creek," and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" as well as songs by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton and many more. Musicians from the local music scene perform the songs of the film's original special guests.
Since last year's near sell-out Mahaiwe performance, which featured more than two dozen local musicians, the Rev Tor Band has been performing the Last Waltz LIVE to packed houses throughout New England and beyond with new guest artists each time it is performed, making every show a unique all-star concert experience. All profits from all Last Waltz LIVE shows, including this concert, benefit Music In Common, a Berkshire based non-profit organization whose innovative programs have served thousands of people in nearly 200 communities across the globe. This year's concert features nearly 40 local musicians including Rob Sanzone, John Clarke and Lisa Anderson of Bell Engine, Robert Kelly, Randy Cormier and Tim Sears of Whiskey City, Sam Crawford, Caroline Mack, Billy Keane, Arthur Holmes, Katherine Winston, Pete Adams & Bruce Mandel, of Dooley Austin, JoAnne Redding, Todd Mack, Ashleigh Catsos, Lisa and Fran Mandeville of the Beeline Ramblers, Eileen Markland of Rakish Paddy, Tor Stumo, Mary Verdi, Kyle Carson, Olivia Stein, Jake Smerechniak, Brooke Levesque, Jeff King of the Corvettes, Jeff King of the Kings, Jennifer FamilyJones Schultheis, and Jeanne Johnson. Plus a special performance by students from local Music in Common programs. This concert is sponsored in part by Salisbury Bank and WKZE.
