Bucolic music has always been associated with the flute, evoking Pan, Arcadia, shepherds, sounds of the woods, meadows, and the breath of the outdoors. Here it will be juxtaposed with angular, urban music, the quickened, jazzy pulse of the large city. The Berkshire premiere of Urban Quartet by Frederick Kaufman and works by Copland, Couperin, Weber, Debussy, and Bach. Flutist Eugenia Zukerman makes her series debut.
