Gould Farm Presents:
Frank La Frazia in "LIVING WITH IT"
Gould Farm
Saturday, March 13 at 7:30PM
$20 (Special $50 & $75 Gala Packages with Post event reception & Priority Seating available)
Gould Farm is proud to present Frank La Frazia's one-man show "Living with It": detailing his experiences as a teenager living with his mother who suffered from bi-polar disorder. In his theater piece, Mr. La Frazia revisits his life between the ages of 13 and 18 during which he was his mother's caregiver negotiating an obstacle course of hospital admissions, medical problems and his own coming of age. With limited contact from his father, a sister who was in another city and a mother with not only bi-polar disorder but with what would eventually become life-ending diabetes, La Frazia's work centers on the effect his dramatic monologue can have on teenagers and families facing the mental health crisis of a family member. In the tradition of Spalding Grey, John Leguizamo, and Eric Bogosian, this stirring, poignant and humorous piece features Mr. La Frazia portraying several characters and narration throughout.

La Frazia currently works with at-risk youth through the national award-winning Playwright Mentoring Project at Barrington Stage Company in which young people use theater and acting to address a variety of issues from drug use to sexuality to school problems. The event will conclude with a 30-minute Question & Answer panel discussion led by Gould Farm board member, former guest and staff member, John Otenasek.

Berkshire Children's Chorus
20th Anniversary Celebration with Special Guests
Friday, June 18 at 7PM
$100 (includes Golden Circle seating & Post-Show Reception)
$27 General Admission /$12 Children under 13
Film and stage actor Gary Soldati hosts a magical evening of choral music with special guest artists including soprano Cardinale Montano, The Miriam Shapiro String Quartet, trumpeter Allan Dean, and flautist Tari Wheeler. Accompanists, Lee Dixon and Nancy King.

Berkshire Children's Chorus, founded in 1990, is comprised of students from Berkshire and surrounding counties who are interested in working on the finest treble choir music available. The repertoire of the chorus is not replicated in the schools, making it possible to expand the children?s horizons to more classical and challenging musical experiences. Students must audition and are selected regardless of their ability to pay tuition.

BCC has sung with the Berkshire Choral Festival and has joined the Berkshire Opera Company for productions of Wozzeck and Carmen. In 1998 BCC was accepted to sing in the Third Tuscany International Children?s Chorus Festival in Italy. The chorus sang at Carnegie Hall in April 2001 and again in June 2006. In the summer of 2004, BCC traveled to England for the International Children?s Choir Festival in Canterbury, England. In January 2007, BCC was honored to be invited to perform at the inauguration ceremonies for the newly elected Massachusetts governor, Deval Patrick, in both Boston and Pittsfield, MA.

The chorus has also produced five CDs of their concerts and in 2009 the BCC starred in An Impulse to Soar: A Journey in Song. This documentary DVD followed the chorus as it rehearsed for various performances, including a performance at Carnegie Hall under the direction of John Rutter and Dr. Janet Galvin.
