Judy Collins in Concert - SOLD OUT SHOW!
Sunday June 1, 2008 /7pm
$70 Limited Golden Circle (premium seating) / $50 All Seats/$40 Members
Two-time Grammy Award Winning Judy Collins is an American folk and standards singer and songwriter, known for the stunning purity of her soprano; for her eclectic tastes in the material she records (which has included folk, showtunes, pop, and rock and roll); and for her social activism. Judy Collins has thrilled audiences worldwide with her unique blend of interpretative folksongs and contemporary themes.

Her impressive career has spanned more than 40 years. Noted for her rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now", and "Send in the Clowns," a ballad written by Stephen Sondheim, Collins was also instrumental in bringing little known musicians to a wider public recording songs by singer-songwriters like Randy Newman, Richard Farina, Bob Dylan and Canadian poet Leonard Cohen long before they gained the national acclaim they would later achieve. Judy Collins' topical folk songs bring to mind her contemporaries, like Joan Baez and Janis Ian, as well as newer folks like Dar Williams and Lucy Kaplansky. Judy Collins continues to create music of hope and healing that lights up the world and speaks to the heart.

If amethysts could sing...they would sound like Judy Collins. Richard Farina
