Position Opening:
Membership/Database Coordinator for the Development Department
The Mahaiwe is hiring a part-time (20-25 hours a week) person to assist with all aspects of its development program. The primary responsibilities will be database management and correspondence work with Mahaiwe members and donors, including execution of appeal mailings (mail merge, variable data), email blasts, event invitations, list management, printed and online development communications, database maintenance and coding, and more.
Requirements:
Previous experience with database minimum 1 year
Excellent communication skills - written and phone
Highly detail-oriented, organized
Ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects in various stages
Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Able to work with the public
Ability to be discreet and confidential re donor information
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good copy-editing ability
The following are a plus:
Experience with Constant Contact or related software
Experience working with graphic designers and printers
Experience with Microsoft Publisher
The position will report to the Development Manager. Occasional event and weekend presence may be needed.
