For the health and safety of both you and the Mahaiwe staff, we are practicing limited contact ticketing. All tickets must be purchased in advance prior to arriving at the drive-in. Before you arrive at the drive-in entry gate, please have your tickets either printed out or your confirmation email open on your mobile device.

Movie audio will play through your vehicle's radio. We ask that you familiarize putting your vehicle into accessory (ACC) mode to prevent draining your vehicle's battery. Tip: movie audio can also play through portable AM/FM radios; if you own one, we recommend bringing it for back-up.

Drive-in Rules

By order of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' COVID-19 regulations, there are no social gatherings allowed outside of your vehicle while at the drive-in at this time.

You must follow all employee instructions including directions to move or re-park vehicles. Employee decision is final. Refusal to immediately cooperate will result in ejection without refund.

Vehicle engines, headlights and parking lights must remain off while parked at the drive-in.

Parking at the drive-in is on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you plan on attending the drive-in with friends and would like to park next to each other, please arrive together. No holding of parking spaces will be allowed.

At this time, Massachusetts Drive-in regulations do not allow guests to be outside vehicles except for restrooms or purchasing concessions. A face mask is required at all times when outside the vehicle.

For the safety and comfort of all guests and Mahaiwe staff, all guests are required to stay within the closed space of their vehicles while watching a movie at the drive-in.

Sitting on vehicles, standing through an open sunroof, or using the bed of an open pickup truck are not allowed at this time.

Convertible vehicles are allowed, however if the top of the vehicle is open the side windows must remain up while watching the movie.

Tailgating with an open SUV hatch is allowed as long as all guests are seated within the closed space of the vehicle.

No lawn chair setups outside of your vehicle are allowed at this time.

We do not allow alcohol, weapons, or anything our employees think could cause a problem in terms of safety or bothering other customers.

Guests will not be permitted to enter the Daniel Arts Center building.

Parking and Movie Audio

After parking, turn off your engine and lights.

Movie audio will play through your vehicle's radio or any portable AM/FM radio you bring from home. Tune your radio to station 104.3 FM.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have an older vehicle (10 years or older) we would recommend you bring your own portable AM/FM radio for playing the movie audio. / Classic and antique cars will require you to bring your own AM/FM radio.

If you choose to listen to movie audio through your car radio, put your vehicle in accessory (ACC) mode to avoid draining its battery. If your vehicle's battery dies, please find a Mahaiwe Drive-in employee and we’ll provide help as soon as we can.

There are three clean and sanitized portable toilets on site. To prevent the spreading of germs and disease we ask that you only use restrooms if you need to. Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly and to clean up after yourself.

While patrons are encouraged to bring meals, local concessions will be provided by Great Barrington’s own SoCo Creamery and the Berkshire Food Co-op. SoCo premium ice cream will be available every night and organic or all-natural candy, beverages, and popcorn from the Co-op will be available on Fridays.

It is possible that a drive-in movie could be canceled due to weather. If this happens you will have the option to receive a full refund for your purchase. The cancelation decision will be made no later than an hour and a half prior to the start of the movie (7:30pm for 9pm show-time). A cancelation email will be sent. We also suggest visiting to check the status of the movie prior to arrival. If the event is not marked as canceled on our website the event will happen as scheduled.
